Jacko Healy - Managing Director

Jacko has coaching in his blood. His father is a coach operator and as a child Jacko spent most of his free time in his father’s yard, surrounded by coaches. As he grew up he started helping out in the family business cleaning coaches, maintaining them and eventually learning to drive them and getting his coach license. At 22 Jacko bought his first coach and the reality of a dream starting to come true began.

In 2005, Jacko purchased Enfield Coaches and its 6 coaches.  Jacko has worked tirelessly to grow the business to the success story that it is today. Jacko’s hands on involvement and commitment to his clients is clear……….

Jacko loves nothing more than being behind the wheel of a coach and will be out driving them at any opportunity.

 

Paul Murphy – Transport Manager

Paul is like the engine of the company. He is responsible for all of the logistics and operations within the company. Paul and Jacko were childhood friends. Paul’s first job was as a valet for Jacko’s father’s coaches. Jacko and Paul were often spotted hanging out around the yard causing mischief as children. Not much has changed these days. Now however, it is Paul’s two young coach crazy sons who are causing the mischief and hanging out on coaches and any given opportunity.

Paul joined the company in 2012 and in 2013 completed his CPC Operators License

 

Emma Gillespie – Assistant Transport Manager

Emma studied and lived in England for a number of years. It was there she met her fiancé Kevin. The “green grass of home” called and after 3 years in England, she felt it was time to return to her native Mullingar. The stars aligned at this time as due to their growing success Enfield Coaches were looking for an Assistant Transport Manager. With her friendly, outgoing and calm nature, her can do attitude and professionalism Emma was the perfect candidate. She is also sharp enough to keep all the boys in the company in line. She started with the company in 2014 and quickly slotted in to place.

A keen rugby enthusiast, Emma plays for her local rugby team – The Mullingar Heifer’s. The team have won multiple tournaments including both Leinster Champions.

 

Francis – Accountant

Francis is the Money Man of the company. He is a native of Athlone, a town only a few miles from the office. Francis has a keen interest in keeping fit and active. He swims, rows and often cycles to work.

He joined Jacko and the team in 2013 and is responsible for all of the company’s accounts.

 

Matt Ward

Matt was the first driver that Jacko hired and they have been working together for 16 years. Matt is a qualified driver guide and is often taking groups on exciting visits around Ireland and UK. Matt is like a walking encyclopaedia. He is also great for the “scandalous stories” that you won’t hear on every other tour. If you want a tour with a difference – Matt’s your Man.

When Matt isn’t travelling the length and breadth of the country he is at home in his native Dublin. Like any true Dub, Matt’s favourite colour is blue.

 

Timmy Gorman

Timmy worked for the Irish Electricity Supply Board for nearly 40 years. In 2005 a new chapter began in Timmy’s life when he joined Jacko and his team on a full time basis. A native of Enfield, Co Meath, Timmy is often seen driving his 29 seater coach around the country. His favourite tour to drive is the classic Dublin City Tour. Timmy has run over 20 marathons in his lifetime. When he is not driving or running, Timmy is partial to a good cup of tea.

 

Gordon

Gordon is our History fanatic. A qualified driver guide Gordon loves getting behind the wheel and telling tales about our great shores. Gordon is from “An Ghealtacht” which is the Irish speaking area of Connemara, Co Galway. From time to time Gordon will teach his guests some of the more popular Irish language phrases. When he is not on tour, Gordon is back home in his native Galway spending time with his 2 children.

 

Pat Walsh

Pat is another of our senior driver guides and loves touring the West of Ireland and showing guests the gorgeous coastline of Ireland. He has been working in the tour industry for over 15 years. Pat is from Enfield, Co Meath. Pat played Rugby for many years, but today is a keen supporter. You will often see Pat wearing his green Ireland rugby shirt shouting on his favourite team.

 

Darius

A native of Lithuania, Darius relocated to Ireland in 2000. He lives in Co. Kerry with his wife and 2 children. Darius has been with Enfield Coaches since 2013. He is qualified to throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe. Darius enjoys watching Formula One. Given any opportunity he will be behind the wheel himself. He is a Karting Champion in Russia and the Baltic States.

 

Joe Brennan

Joe has been with Enfield Coaches for 17 years. Unsurprisingly Joe has lots of groups that return to Ireland annually and request Joe as their driver. Joe enjoys
